Our commitment to raise the bar in bolt on performance suspensions aided in the development of a lower control arm that features a pre-tabbed dual 2.5 shock set up as well as an upper control arm that incorporates a 1" Uniball. This suspension system features 3.5" extended chromoly tubular a-arms that cycle 13" of travel while bolting into the stock location and retains the 4wd. The lower control arms are internally gusseted and plated top and bottom which acts as a skid plate surface to aid in navigating over obstacles on any trail. To eliminate the factory upper ball joint weak link we introduced and developed the press in spindle slug adapter. No drilling is required. TC's adapter component includes a new retaining clip and is designed to register the lower hi-misalignment spacer into the adapter for maximum strength. This design allows you to replace the hi-misalignment spacer at any time by simply removing the 3/4" bolt. 8" travel 2.5 Fox (PT# 980-99-246B), King or Sway A Way shocks bolt into the existing factory coil bucket location. Note: All Coilover Shocks Require A Lower Cone-Shaped Coil Seat.
Bolt-on upper shock mounts are brand specific, specify the shock brand you will install when you order. The control arms bolt to and pivot in the factory mounting locations with urethane bushings. The upper arm pivots include zirk fittings to lubricate the bushings on the vehicle. For 4wd owners, modified Tundra axles (not included) are reinstalled. Travel does not have to be limited for the 4wd. TC's long travel system is the only one to incorporate an adjustable limit strap clevis that allows you to adjust the limit straps which will stretch up to 10% after installation. Failure to properly limit droop travel can cause the factory spindle to break or cause failure of the 4wd inner CV. This kit includes urethane bushings and all grade 8 mounting hardware, D.O.T. brake lines, quad wrapped adjustable limit straps, powder coat and clear coat. We also offer a dual shock mount accessory that bolts to the coil bucket and welds to the frame to mount a secondary 8" travel smooth body or bypass shock. Fiberglass fenders are necessary, with the vehicles track width increasing 7" overall. Custom upper shock mounts can be fabricated to install longer length shocks that offer dual spring rate capabilities.
