Replaced the OEM Bilstein shocks on my Tacoma, which I never liked. And with 61,000 miles on them, they were well worn. The one thing the Bilstein s still had was a working digressive compression valve, the single worst thing about them. Looked for a replacement shock that was rebuildable, had a linear compression valve that wasn't hideously expensive, and these Fox fit the spec. They are a substantial improvement in small bump compliance while providing noticeably more compression damping. Where the Bilsteins would have a sharp initial hit, then blow through the travel, the Fox are much more sensitive while providing more mid stroke support. Highly recommended.
