This a strong, well-made, functional fold-away step that is of great help for someone that gets up and down to their truck bed often. The step folds away neatly. It can be positioned to poke out a little bit or be more flush with the bumper - see pics. You may need a socket extension in addition to other items listed in the instructions. It is listed to fit a F-150 2015-2020 and it was ordered with the full knowledge that it may or may not fit a 2021. The short answer is that if the 2 nuts (left) that attach the bumper to the truck circled in red in the pic are 21mm (as per AMP instructions) then it should fit - IF they are 24mm nuts (in other 2021+) then you will have several significant issues. Before you order this item you may want to check if you have 21 mm nuts there. For standard installation regardless of your truck year, I have 2-3 tips- when assembling the large triangular bracket only loosely insert the 13 mm bolts - you need these loose to afford play when eventually inserting the 2 x 15 mm bolts- set the triangular bracket aside and very carefully thread the 2 x 15 mm bolts into the spring-loaded arm until about 3/8"" remains exposed. Once you make sure you have these straight-threaded (and not cross-threaded) THEN unscrew them and attach the spring-loaded arm to the triangular bracket (not forgetting the small angled piece) using these same holes- rotate the small angled piece such that the end is parallel to the 2 larger bolt holes. Torque down the 15 mm bolts, torque down the 13 mm bolts.Issues you will likely encounter installing on a 2021 (with 24 mm bolts)- the bolt holes in the triangular bracket will need to be drilled slightly larger- you will need a 24 mm socket. These are typically 1/2"" drive.- if you can find a short-socket you *might* be able to finagle the socket with the 24mm nut up the channel on the side of the triangular part and tighten the nut in that manner- i could only find a long socket - it did not fit through the larger socket holes' and those had to be drilled/filed larger
