Sticky(TM) Shield is the ultimate way to stop heat from radiating into the drivers compartment of your ride. Made from a dense layer of 1/8 fiberglass insulation (not poly) shielded by a rugged layer of 0.003 thick aluminum, Sticky Shield may be cleaned after installation and is resistant to the elements. The heavy-duty peel and stick adhesive will bond to almost any clean surface (not recommended for unfinished fiberglass or carbon). It is the perfect radiant heat shield for transmission tunnels, mufflers, catalytic converters, DPF s, turbos, downpipes, and exhaust system heat. This Sticky Shield can be used with less than 1 of airspace, however when used with 1 or more airspace, it is capable of shielding over 90% of heat. Did that set of long tube headers on your Mustang, Camaro, Challenger, or tuner move your catalytic converter where there are not any factory heat shields? Use Sticky Shield to stop the heat! That Jeep getting some serious heat in the transmission tunnel or from the cat, Sticky Shield it away! Sticky Shield is asbestos free. This product is designed to be used UNDER the vehicle on the floor pan, firewall, transmission tunnel, etc. it is not designed to be used under the carpet. Kits include Cool-Foil Tape(TM) to seal seams when putting two of these heat shields together and protect the edges of Sticky Shield. Please note, this product ships folded keep costs down. You may see bends in it when it is received, bends will become minimally visible after installation

    New heatshields are working fine on me and the wife's grand cherokes. Keep the heat out in the desert sun so when you get in your vehicle at the end of the day you can actually drive without sweating like a pig. Can shape them to any shape you need.

    Nice heat shield, not the best that I've ever bought but okay. I've been using it sometimes this summer on my black 4x4 which usually gets pretty hot in the sun. This heat shield has really put a dent on the heat, feels at least 20 degrees cooler inside than it did before.

    Wanted to give my engine some extra protection so installed this heat shield. It's really simple to do. Just cut to form, peal, and place. Deflects a lot of heat, I can already feel the difference when driving. My feet no longer get overheated. I recommend this product for anyone who lives in a warm place, like Arizona.     I replaced my engine, while the engine was out and I was waiting on some parts I removed the 18 year old heat shield. cleaned the area until it was squeaky clean. the self stick is a pain to work with but it sticks great to very clean surfaces. getting the backing material off will make you question your life choices. I did not do any formal testing but I can tell the difference, my feet are no longer cooking and it deflects a great deal of heat. you can actually tell where I ran out of material. someday when I have my transmission out I'm going to do the entire tunnel. Good stuff, yes it's a pain to work with it but the results are noticeable.

    This has some pretty good adhesive on it and will stick on clean painted metal. I also use some self tapping screws and large washers on the hard to get to spots just in case. Cuts easy and will mold to the shape of the area installed by pressing with your hand.

    I am using this to insulate around the rear of the engine and especially the turbo and exhaust path on a Cummins engine in a pickup. I will wrap the exhaust down tube with their inferno exhaust wrap and see how it goes.

    Effective Heat Shield Solves Wood Stove Dilemma

    While designing a new space in our home we knew we wanted a wood stove. We had planned for the fridge to go on one wall, the wood stove on the other. Last minute we realized the wood stove would have to be moved because there are solar panels on the eave the pipe would have to go through. So our wood stove is next to our fridge - it was too late to rearrange everything. It doesn't look as awkward as we thought, but heat was a problem. This heat shield has taken care of that! We attached the whole sheet on the side next to the heat source - fridge is staying nice and cool now!
