Powerstep Plug-N-Play-18 Ram 1500-3500, 1500 Clsc, 19-22 2500/3500-Dsl, All Cabs (76239-01A)

I have always wanted the AMP steps. I could not wait to get them installed on my truck that's where the problems started. The hardware that comes with them is way over complicated resalting with you having to drill holes in you truck and install rivets to hold the hardware on. The steps I removed that only cost me $250 had a far superior mounting system. After spending several hours installing, the hardware, I found that the gear housing has a different bolt pattern than the motor that is supposed to be mounted to it. I contacted AMP tech support only to be told I have to email them in order for them to start a clam. After emailing them I waited a week with no response I called them again to be told we did not see your email, but we know what the problem is we will send you out a new gear housing. It took two more phone calls and two and a half weeks, but the replacement parts arrived. After opening the box, I noticed two things. First there was no instructions on how to replace the housing and second the original housing was aluminum the new one was plastic. After some time, I did get the housing replaced but it would have saved me a lot of time if they would have included some instructions. Lastly the instructions that came with the steps are very vague the illustrations are horrible. The wiring illustration of where and how to place the wiring under the hood was completely wrong. (Thank you, YouTube, for how to do it right.)I will say now they are installed I do like them but for the work and price would I purchase them again probably not!!!Save yourself some headaches and find a Pro shop to install them although the two places I found one wanted $600 the other wanted $1200. At the time I thought that was a lot but now I think it was probably worth it.Total installation time was 12 hours. I also own a lift so good luck.

Install went well. Actuators didn't fit against the underbody like it was supposed to. Had to file down one of the castings to get the step to move correctly.

Love these running boards!Install isn't the most straightforward, but these are sold with the note that this is more on the advanced side.Tight space on my truck for completing the install. Overall I am extremely pleased with it!

Looks great. Basic Installation is not that bad but does require some tools and a good bit of Mechanical Aptitude. However, to be a perfect installation including all the adjustment-It took extra time.Star Connector on the OBD Harness gets plugged into the *Bottom Left* of the Double Stack Green Block on left kick panel under the dash.Right Angle Drill and good bits were needed along with a Grinder/CutOff Wheel. Don't install the motors onto the Linkages until AFTER you have bounced on the boards and Tightened/Riveted the Linkages AND Trimmed the Pinch Welds for clearance. My End Caps were hitting on Both sides and I had to move the steps in and out (Manually) numerous times to find where to Trim the Pinch Welds. (You cannot move the steps with the motors on). After all Clearance issues are corrected, Install Motors and Fuse and Test. Looks Good- We will see how they Last - -Installed 9/4/22
