Clamps seem just a little to big you can only tighten until the clamp runs out of threads

Got this to replace the one that mysteriously disappeared, along with many other things on the xj. It fits, does the job, and doesn't look half bad. The hose clamps that come with it are terrible, they don't … CLAMP!

I have 157,000 miles on my jeep, my old air intake needed to be replaced, so I chose Rough Country air intake this is easy to install and it sounds great. Worth the money. Looks great in the engine compartment.

I've been fixing up an old XJ and I was struggling to keep speed up in the mountains on the way to snowboarding. I decided to add this prior to a larger throttle body. I was pretty skeptical at first, but I dropped it in with about 20-30 min of work. Like some people mentioned, the holes don't line up perfectly, but it's not hard to bend it into the right spot. I was pleasantly surprised with a decent pickup from stop and I can feel there is more power. The Jeep format shift into lower gears as often. Haven't taken it to the hills yet or been able to check gas mileage, but at this point, I wouldn't take it off.

Nothing fit correctly on my 96 but I did get it to fit. It's definitely made a big difference in the giddy up with throttle response which is awesome. Definitely worth what I paid given the pita it was to get it to fit. I should have bought the throttle body spacer with it to really see a difference in throttle response. I've noticed I'm getting a little better gas mileage as well.

The shield doesn't fit without some force. Not a huge power difference and a little cooler engine running temp. Gets the job done for the price
