They reached out to me regarding the battery problem and sent me a replacement battery. Very happy with the customer service and how they handled the problem.Had this for 5 months now and the battery is completely dead. Won't charge at all. So disappointed with this. Bought a Baofeng radio around same time and battery in that one is still going strong. Guess I need to replace this one with another Baofeng since I don't have battery problems with that one.

what makes rugged radios better is there own license frequencies that you can not get on other radios, you still need to get your license but good to know there are dedicated channels for Rugged

Product is good, worked well to hear warnings and info from others as we rode ATV trails. Seems a bit pricey compared to the Baofeng radios that cover the same frequencies, but worked well, and utilize some of the Rugged Radios own frequencies

Use this for using to keep in contact with each other when one of the group falls behind or which turn to make. They pretty much always work
