Disappointed with mounting bracket compatibility in Tacoma

Bought these for my 2018 Toyota Tacoma. The product seems good. Unfortunately the front mounting bracket on both sides do not bolt to both mounting holes, only one. Would feel sturdier when stepping in if both mounting bolts could be used. After spending almost 400.00 I still have to make a bracket that works with my truck.

Got these for my 2018 Toyota Tacoma. They were easy to install and look great on the truck. There is plenty of grip so you don't slip when getting in the truck even when it's wet. They also don't stick out too far to get in the way

Just received these on 1/13/23; installed on a 2022 Toyota Tacoma V6 SR5 Double cab/short bed. Quality and appearance is very good. The are not aluminum, so they have some weight to them-though not excessive. I used 2 jack stands to hold them up while bolting on. The front bracket only uses 1 bolt/bolt hole-this is by design. FIT: I'm 5'10"" and these actually sit just low enough to be usable, but they don't excessively affect ground clearance. My Tacoma is stock height. I highly recommend them.

I bought these 30% off on a labor day sale. Around 270ish which is hard to beat. The box it came in was completely trashed, but luckily the steps are wrapped tightly in bubble wrap so no problem there. Its just a box, who cares. I am mechanically inclined and always do my own work. I thought Id have these on in 30 minutes flat. I was wrong. These are not like 1 piece, lift up and bolt on. First you must attach the brackets to the steps, then bolt onto the body/frame of vehicle. Sounds like no big deal, but the brackets are just weird and awkward to bolt onto the steps due to the way the go together. Hard to explain, but the way that the holes are configured and the fact that the bolt head must go on the inside so you have access to tighten or loosen via the nut later on makes it like you need 3 hands. Plus, the bolt and nut are painted which makes it sometimes difficult to thread on. My suggestion is to bolt the brackets to the vehicle FIRST. Then attach the steps to the brackets. The instructions say otherwise.Honestly, in the end its better that they are separate brackets instead of one piece because it lets you adjust them up/down/fore/aft to your liking. I wanted them as high up to the rocker as I could get and the adjustability of the bracket allows that. If they were just one piece, Id be stuck with whatever they designed. So know that going in you will probably be playing around and adjusting to get the fit you want for an hour or two.Once they are on, adjusted, and properly torqued, they are bulletproof and extremely useful. The step is just about the perfect size and its exactly where it needs to be. Im hoping that they will provide protection to the rockers from little rocks, chips, ice, and snow. Im not too sure of the powdercoating. Looks thin and there is a spot on one of the brackets where it already flaked off. Ill contact Nfab for that, but doesnt bother me for now.Overall, they look decent, work as intended, are semi-adjustable, and the price is very good. But, they are somewhat of a PITA to install. Not too bad, but not as easy as you might think.

Was easy to install and look good. Just wish I'd seen the dent before putting them on. Could have taken them off and returned but decided it was big enough to worry with.
