Great piece of gear. Just be careful not to pound in the studs for the wheel lugs, they need to be pressed in. A shop can do this for you if you don't have the tools to do it yourself.

Easy install and looks great

Easy to install if it is paired with teraflex hinged carrier kit. Fits perfectly for 37"" tire.

Installed alongside Morryde tailgate hinges and tailgate reinforcement. Am able to set my 33x11.50"" tire on 17x9 wheel with 4.5"" bs almost flush with the tailgate. Used Daystar bumpstops, and had to cut them off after the first section. Tire sits nice and snug against the bump stops and doesn't bounce or rattle.Follow the instructions and press the studs in, if you just hammer them in you probably won't be able to get the spare off as they'll like back out and just spin. If you don't have a press, you can just use a lug nut and a regular nut that is larger than the lug nut (Teraflex has a video showing how). I used an air impact and it was a quick job. You can use a ratchet, but it would probably take a long time, and you could just go down to any tire shop and have it done for a few dolllars at most.

My after market aluminum wheels have less offset than stock so the tire did not touch the rubber bumpers on the tail gate. I figured this would quickly destroy the tailgate. This mount allows me to pull the tire tight. I also made a support for the hitch receiver to take some of the weight of the bigger tires off when going off road.

Perfect solution for after market wheels with less backspacing. There's less stress when you remove the leverage of having that heavier spare cantilevered away from the rear door. I was able to bring my 33""/17""-.6offset spare right up against the stock hinge by removing an inch from the factory bump stops. I also placed the third brake light inside my wheel by using the top hole of the carrier instead of the mounting lugs for a much cleaner look and without the hassle of disconnecting the light when removing the spare. Excellent quality from Teraflex as usual.

My wife was looking for a new tire carrier for her 35s. She insisted on Terraflex because they are ""one of the best"". I'm glad I listened to her. It was a super easy install, and it's adjustable. If she decides she wants 37s, then we are already prepared. Great purchase!

Great item for a larger tires, I wouldn't use the OME hing and mount for anything larger than 33"".

Helped to stop the rear tailgate rattle.
